The Roswell community is in mourning following the sudden and tragic death of 23-year-old Xavier Lujan, who lost his life in a motorcycle crash on the evening of April 17. The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. near the intersection of North Main Street and Blue Mountain Road in north Roswell.
According to the Roswell Police Department, Xavier was traveling north on Main Street when his motorcycle collided with a car that had exited a parking lot and was attempting to cross the northbound lanes. The impact caused the car to spin, and Xavier was ejected from his motorcycle. Tragically, despite emergency responders’ efforts, Xavier was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle continued north before striking a second vehicle. Both vehicle occupants were uninjured.
The accident led to the closure of the affected area of Main Street for several hours as investigators processed the scene, with the road reopening around 3:00 a.m. The emotional toll on the community has been profound, as Xavier was not only a young man with a bright future ahead of him but also a beloved member of the local community.
