Margaret “Maggie” (Kraf) Watson, age 51, of Plum, formerly of Penn Hills, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, after a brave and enduring battle with breast cancer. Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and the many students whose lives she touched over her decades-long career in education.

Maggie was a devoted wife to Scott W. Watson and a proud mother to her two sons, Colin and Jack. Her love for her family was the foundation of her life, filling their home with laughter, support, and compassion. She was the cherished daughter of Edward and Kathleen (Friel) Kraf and the loving sister of Patrick (Karyn) and Mark (Renee) Kraf. Maggie’s legacy of kindness, warmth, and unconditional love extended to her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

For over 25 years, Maggie served as a guidance counselor at Linton Middle School, where she became a beloved mentor and confidant to countless students. Her office was a place of refuge and understanding, where young people found not just academic guidance but also a compassionate listener. Her impact on the lives of those she guided will be remembered for years to come.

Colleagues and friends remember Maggie for her deep empathy, her unwavering dedication to others, and her boundless patience. Even in the face of illness, Maggie exhibited remarkable strength and grace, always supported by the love of her family and community.

Maggie was also a beloved companion to her pets, Wilbur, Lucy, and Libby, who brought her comfort and joy.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd., 7450 Saltsburg Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church of Holy Family Parish.
