It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Russell Barbee, who tragically lost his life early Sunday morning following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10.
Russell was involved in a fatal accident just before 3 a.m. on I-10 West southbound when his vehicle, a gray Ford Expedition, struck a roadway barrier, causing it to roll over and come to a stop in the main lanes. Despite being rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Russell was later pronounced deceased.
A beloved member of the community, Russell’s untimely death has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him. His family and friends remember him for his warmth, generosity, and kindness. As the investigation into the cause of the crash continues, his loved ones are left to grieve the loss of a man whose life was taken far too soon.
