According to the Danville Police Department, officers responded at approximately 11:36 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the 700 block of Arlington Road. Upon arrival, they found Christopher lying in a driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders immediately rendered lifesaving aid before transporting him to SOVAH Danville Emergency Room, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Authorities stated that four additional individuals arrived separately at the hospital by private vehicle with gunshot wounds from the same incident. Officials said those injuries appear to be non-life-threatening, though the event has left the community deeply shaken.
Investigators believe a large gathering was underway at a residence in the area when multiple shots were fired, striking several people. Police have confirmed the incident is not believed to be random and remains an active criminal investigation as authorities work to identify those responsible.
