Englewood, Ohio is mourning with heavy hearts following the sudden and tragic loss of 49-year-old Rondel Marsh, who was killed in a devastating two-vehicle crash in Hancock County during the early morning hours of April 19, 2026. What began as a quiet overnight drive ended in an irreversible tragedy on Interstate 75, leaving a family shattered and a community in deep grief.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Findlay Post, the crash occurred at approximately 2:59 a.m. on northbound Interstate 75 near milepost 145 in Union Township. Investigators report that a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 51-year-old Jeanine Marsh of Englewood, was traveling northbound with passengers when a 2021 Dodge Charger, driven by 21-year-old Samenda Moreau of Findlay, struck the rear of the Silverado at a high rate of speed. The impact caused the Silverado to veer off the right side of the roadway, overturning before coming to a stop. The Dodge Charger also came to rest on the right shoulder of the interstate.
Rondel Marsh, a beloved member of the Englewood community, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His sudden passing has left his family and friends in shock, struggling to comprehend the loss of a life taken far too soon. Alongside him in the Silverado, 19-year-old Ryan Marsh, his son, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, while Jeanine Marsh, the driver, was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and a passenger of the Dodge Charger also sustained minor injuries, with both treated at the scene and the driver taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital for care. Authorities believe alcohol may have contributed to the crash, and investigations continue. While all passengers in the Silverado were wearing seatbelts, the seatbelt use in the Charger remains under investigation.
The response to the crash involved multiple agencies, including the Southwestern Hancock County Joint Fire Department, HANCO EMS, Ohio Department of Public Safety, and R and A Towing, who worked together to secure the scene during the early morning hours.
Rondel’s passing has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew him. While his life was tragically cut short, his memory will live on through the love, laughter, and moments shared with his family and friends. His presence will be missed, but his impact will be forever felt.
May Rondel Marsh rest in peace. His family, friends, and community will carry his memory in their hearts, honoring the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind.
